Jesus Is A Powerful Model For Men Today

From today’s 1st reading for the 2nd Sunday in Advent

Isaiah’s words prophesying the coming Messiah is a powerful model for men today! Emasculated by woke wackiness, men need to stand up for what is good and true like never before and defend the social institution of the family to reestablish the rights and respect it deserves!

The family is being undermined like never before, and although the image of the “Good Shepherd” of course includes all people including men, this particular image and model of intervention presented by Isaiah only specifically mentions “babies and children” (Lambs), and those who HAVE babies and children.

The world is now a boat sinking, but no one’s yelling “women and children first” for the lifeboats like Isaiah!

That is the Messiah model from Isaiah that recognizes that our place is in family, we are saved as members of a family, and there’s no family if the focus isn’t on (1) guarding and protecting children, and (2) giving good guidance and leadership to those with children in their care.
