MAKE YOURSELF UNSHAKABLE, NOT DUST
Have you surrendered your life to Jesus yet to make yourself “unshakable”? There is no other way, as Jesus said himself.
“Jesus answered, ‘I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'” [John 14:6].
Deciding that you’re going to do it is not the same as doing it you know.
And don’t forget that the “figuring-out-where-you’re-going-for-eternity” fence is owned by the devil.
When the end comes, for each of us, like a thief in the night, all those perched precariously on that fence still procrastinating become Satan’s pride and property by default…and possession!
I know, I know.
We’re only human.
We do like to put things off until tomorrow don’t we! But we avoid thinking about the fact that tomorrow conveniently never comes!
If you’ve been receiving inclinations and inspirations lately about taking some steps to become “unshakable,” and have been ignoring them, now is the time to make a decision other than one “not to decide now,” and deal with your “eternal destination dilemma” before it’s figured out for you.
The problem is simply that we are blind in our sin, and can’t see the great gift of eternal life offered to us by God clearly, as a result of our myopic self-deceptive, limited and distorted view of reality.
That great gift of eternal life is available to each of us free of charge, made possible by the unfathomable love and mercy of Jesus made evident to us in his sorrowful death and glorious resurrection.
We don’t become “unshakable” by ourselves. We become unshakable in our surrender to the “unshakable one”.
Like bricks in a building, our stability depends entirely on the proper relationship we have with the cornerstone:
“The stone which the builders rejected, This became the very corner stone,” and, “A stone of stumbling and a rock of offense”; for they stumble because they are disobedient to the word, and to this doom they were also appointed.” [1 Peter 2:7-8].
PROPHECY ABOUT THE MESSIAH BEING CORNERSTONE:
“Therefore the Lord God said: “Look, I have laid a stone in Zion, a tested stone, a precious cornerstone, a sure foundation; the one who believes will be UNSHAKABLE.” [Isaiah 28:16].
JESUS FULFILLING ISAIAH’S PROPHECY SPEAKING TO PRIESTS
Mat 21:42 – Jesus said to them, “Did you never read in the Scriptures,
‘THE STONE WHICH THE BUILDERS REJECTED, THIS BECAME THE CHIEF CORNER stone; THIS CAME ABOUT FROM THE LORD,
AND IT IS MARVELOUS IN OUR EYES’?….And he who falls on this stone will be broken to pieces; but on whomever it falls, it will scatter him like dust.”
The stone falls on procrastinators.
GOD TO THE SERPENT IN THE GARDEN OF EDEN:
“Because you have done this, “Cursed are you above all livestock and all wild animals! You will crawl on your belly and you will eat dust all the days of your life.”
So give yourself a head shake or a slap or something and make yourself unshakable in Jesus the Cornerstone before it’s too late for you – don’t become dust to be licked up by the devil.
