We need to talk about Pope Francis

Why is Pope Francis deliberately creating confusion for the faithful on what the Catholic Church believes and teaches about homosexuality?

He made a public statement on blessing homosexual unions which he released on Monday of this week which seems to change the Catholic Church’s teaching, but DOESN’T.

The position remains exactly as it was…as it is expressed in the catechism, otherwise known as the “magisterium” or “deposit of faith” of the church [See attached].

This is what Catholics are to believe. This is what I believe. This is what Jesus taught when he addressed the issue of divorce and marriage. This is what the science and biology supports!
The wisdom of God is characterized by order and this particular sin is characterized as one that is disordered, clearly because the sexual union between two people of the same sex frustrates the natural purpose of sexual union: children.

What Pope Francis says publicly about such things as climate change, taking mRNA vaccines, and gay unions has NOTHING to do with the magisterium of the Catholic Church, and it’s very unfortunate that he’s creating such confusion … he is sadly sewing seeds that will foster conflict and division.
Nothing of the teaching on homosexuality has changed since Pope Francis’s statement 2 days ago, but that’s unfortunately NOT what most people think, and therein lies the problem.

What exactly is being “blessed” if the church continues to condemn homosexual unions as sinful?

If homosexual unions are sinful, is it not the obligation of the church to call people into the freedom of life in the spirit by abandoning conformity to, and acceptance of, such sin?

What is the Pope trying to tell us in his decision to release this document at this time?

Personally, I think he’s speaking to a different audience, not the church faithful at all , but what he is saying he thinks he needs to say for the non-Catholic secular leaders now in such a position of power in the world.

I don’t know if the current Pope is a false Pope or a true Pope, but I do know that he’s been doing a lot of damage making these statements that seem to soften or even change the church’s teaching, thereby creating confusion.

It’s contributing to our church heading into division and schism, which has been prophesized must happen in the end times, so will unfortunately come to pass at some point. Whether Pope Francis ushers that in or not… who’s to say?

Pope Francis is certainly making it easy for non-Catholics to conclude that the Catholic church is corrupt and not to be taken seriously.

That’s what’s really sad and very unfortunate.

The teaching of the Catholic Church is based on both scripture and reason combined, and has stood the test of 2,000 years. What Francis has said about blessing gay unions seems to suggest that has changed, when it hasn’t, not one iota, and how could it?
There is a remnant of Catholics within the institutional church who are true friends of God; they will remain faithful to the true teaching, as expressed in the catechism of the Catholic Church.

What priests and most of the people attending church on Sunday will end up believing, or what they believe now, is unknown of course.

However, the prognosis doesn’t look very good, in my opinion. Jesus said there would be few true followers in the end, and although we can’t judge other people, it’s disturbing that there is not a single Catholic priest in PEI with the courage to speak publicly about the poisoning of the population through these unnecessary injections, despite the fact that they ALL have been provided ample evidence that this is in fact happening.

If the PEI clergy are not courageous enough to stand for the truth when their own parishioners are becoming stats in a growing category of “unspecified cause deaths,” what chance is there that they’re going to take on the Pope when he corrupts the core teaching with public misrepresentations of that teaching?

Respectfully, Pope Francis has no authority to be making public statements on such things as climate change and vaccines, telling Catholics that these social and political issues are moral and religious priorities when they are NOT!! In fact, they are strategic planning planks in a malicious plan concocted by evil globalists!

I don’t know if Pope Francis is naïve or just theologically fuzzy in his thinking or what the heck is going on in the church, but any of my followers who start condemning the Catholic Church because of Pope Francis need to check their critique at the door because Pope Francis is NOT the Catholic Church. He is currently its leader, and whether he’s a good one or a bad one is a question I certainly can’t answer.

I do know most of what he’s saying these days is causing division within the church, and much confusion, because he keeps suggesting Catholics believe things that are not part of our beliefs, and if you don’t believe me, check the catechism online!

Pope Francis should know that when he is writing such public documents he needs to make sure he is not actually saying he is altering in any way the teaching of the church and homosexuality.

He just leaves the impression that he has changed the teaching, which the mainstream media and pro-lgbtq+ Catholics and Catholic priests run with, as Rev. Martin did the very day following the Pope’s release of the document, with a big media op, bold headlines in liberal media, and a very “public blessing” event of a gay couple, with catch-phrase statements about there now being a “new era in the church” with the Pope’s teaching on homosexuality, which, again, is completely false, misleading and simply biased propaganda.

I’m not saying the Pope Francis is the antichrist, I won’t believe that until I see horns coming out of his head. But I must say that when we Catholics pray for the Pope’s intentions at church during the prayers of the faithful each Sunday, I secretly add, “…if those intentions are in sync with the will of God!”
