Greta, a self-professed atheist, was awarded an honorary degree in theology from a Finish University…. by skipping school and telling other kids to do the same!  Jesus take me now!!

 

I follow a Swedish scientist doing pandemic research. In a post this morning, he commented Sweden hasn’t been this cold since the night Greta Thunberg was born.

The University of British Columbia granted honorary degrees recently… to…? Yep, Greta Thunberg along with our Dr. Morrison counterpart in BC, Dr. Bonnie Henry (who’s apparently not doing too good in court these days)!

 

“I am delighted to bestow honorary degrees on Dr. Henry and Ms. Thunberg, along with all of our remarkable recipients this spring,” says UBC President and Vice-Chancellor Santa J. Ono. “Dr. Henry and Ms. Thunberg have served as leading voices in the midst of two of the most significant crises we collectively have ever faced: the global pandemic and climate change. They are truly an inspiration to us all at UBC.”

 

They inspire me as well, to do what I do!
