From Behind The Veil-King’s Executive Council-Issue 1
(News from King’s Executive Council) ISSUE #1- [February 16th Issue]
Premier King and his Cabinet Ministers meet weekly, normally, usually on Tuesday.
The business is recorded in an Orders in Council document by the Clerk of the Executive Council and made public, usually by the end of the week, but not always.
This week’s Executive Council meeting was a doozy!
It warrants a couple of posts at least.
I’ve decided to put out a weekly EC ‘update’ to share what they’re up to….it is important that they know people are watching what they are doing, because they don’t think people are watching, and for the most part, they are correct.
They hate knowing that what they do will be immediately shared by me to a whole bunch of Islanders!
I’ve seen it stop them from making decisions in the past, with respect to land purchases by GEBIS and GWBI for example.
In this post I want to also admit another error (more an ‘oversight’ on my part I suppose, but it led to incomplete information regarding the total number of Special Warrants issued by King and Executive Council so far in the course the current 2023-24 fiscal year).
Quite frankly, I never imagined King would need to be issuing Special Warrants before October, 2023, so I didn’t go back that far looking….I should have!
There were a bunch in September I missed, and another pretty big one in July.
I’m not promising there aren’t still more that I’ve missed, but JUST LOOK AT THE RUNNING TOTAL – WITH A BUNCH MORE SPECIAL WARRANTS ISSUED THIS TUESDAY!This is a very serious situation we are facing with this irresponsible government, and the even more irresponsible media and opposition MLAs not raising the alarm about this out-of-control spending!
Unbelievable!
If everything ‘looks great’ to you as you read CBC and Guardian bull poo-prop telling you that Islanders are “satisfied” with the job the King government’s doing, maybe that’s because most Islanders don’t know what this corrupt government is up to and the media won’t tell us!
He’s maintaining his popularity only because, and only to the extent that he is able to keep Islanders in the dark about the full breath and depth of his irresponsible so-called ‘leadership”. Any popularity he is able to maintain results from the lack of any alternative with mute, compliant opposition Parties, and secrecy hiding the myriad things that would shock Islanders, including his fiscally-irresponsible spending deployed with secrecy, silence and borrowing…..LOTS of borrowing.
Where is he getting this money?
My next short post will reveal where most of it is coming from, and the cost to us!
CAVEAT: I’VE APOLOGIZED TWICE TODAY FOR HAVING T0 CORRECT OR MAKE MORE ACCURATE MY POSTS, SO I’M NOT PROMISING THAT THERE AREN’T MORE TO ADD TO THIS LIST I’VE MISSED.
The Auditor General was very concerned that the Special Warrants doubled from about 80 to 160 million last year. It appears we’re on our way to doubling THAT amount this year, and the year ain’t over yet!!
352 MILLION!!!
Sad.
