Note: This will likely be my last FB post until the launch of my new website “Fleeing Babylon,” which will hopefully be happening soon.

I will be dedicating the time I’d normally be researching and writing these FB articles to completing the work still needing to be done to expedite the launch date.

In fact, I woke up this morning with every intention to work on the new website…but was then inspired to write this quite-long article, after a few insights flooded into my mind, seemingly coming into syncopation serendipitously in the early hours of the morning all on their own.

They were:

(1) The Scriptural reading for July 4th (today’s first reading) about Sodom and Gomorrah, and Lot’s wife turning into a pillar of salt for ‘looking back’;

(2) Information that was still raw in my mind from a 1 1/2 hr. YouTube interview I watched late last night on the movie “Sound of Freedom,” [https://youtu.be/rTBGNEliczc], which is playing in Summerside beginning this coming Friday.

It is a shocking revelation about the nature of evil in today’s world, that is truly beyond belief, and in particular exposes the massive underground child-sex network that has come into being in our contemporary world.  The host is Jordan Peterson, and the two guests are the real-life undercover agent freeing the children, and the actor who played the undercover agent in the movie.

(3) The fact that today is Independence Day in in the United States.

When I thought of that this morning, a vivid memory popped into my mind of the rainbow on the Whitehouse displayed last December in celebration of the ‘undoing’ of the Will of God concerning marriage, i.e., with the implementation of the “Respect for Marriage Act”, which signifies to me how July 4th is now more aptly a US celebration of “Independence from God,” rather than the United Kingdom!

Together, these converging phenomena, along with many other signs I’ll not get into in this article, offer very convincing evidence that the very thing described in today’s first reading (by way of the type of “sin” that brought an end to Sodom and Gomorrah), is happening now in our entire world, only at a whole new level of darkness and evil. God will not tolerate this much longer.

Most people think Sodom and Gomorrah’s sin was homosexuality, but it was darker… it was the violent sexual assault of those innocent and pure, those who believed it to be an abomination of what God commanded them to be, i.e., pure!

Go back and read the story again. The two “men” they demanded Lot send out from his house, who they had seen meeting with Lot in the Public Square, we’re not men at all, but angels! It was the purity of these individuals that drew the young and old men to Lot’s house, a prize catch for a debased and decadent desire.

Although the nature of that abominable sin today is the very same as with Sodom and Gomorrah, it is even darker and more evil than in the days of Sodom. Why?

Because whereas in the days of Sodom the sin was to violate the pure and innocent adult sexually by violent means and domination, that same crime is now epidemic, is not being reported by the mainstream media, and not only involves violating innocent adults, but is now targeting God’s purest and most excellent creations, innocent little children!

The convergence of these “signs of the times” needs to be articulated to understand why they constitute a modern day “warning” to those who have “ears to hear,” and know the voice of the Good Shepherd, a warning not at all unlike the one God issued to Noah; not unlike the one God issued to Lot and his family.

Hence this article, which I hope will also serve as a good way to highlight how my new website will offer content designed to address the unique historical situation in which we are now living, and thereby offer assistance so others will be able to navigate the spiritual battlefield upon which our eternal souls will be won or lost, specifically, by offering timely insights and spiritual guidance.

THE SIN THAT BRINGS GOD’S JUSTICE UPON THE EARTH

Just before God says “enough is enough,” and decides to pull the plug on an evil, corrupt, degenerate and unrepentant people, He first warns his faithful followers about that imminent destruction with a command to depart from the midst of such decadence and sin, so as to be spared from His mighty power and justice.

That justice and power was made manifest in the destruction of an entire evil generation (Noah); specific cities (Sodom and Gomorrah); and will happen to BABYLON in the end-times.

Such was the case with Lot and his family, who were the sole ‘faithful’ left living among the people dwelling in the perverted plains within which lay the corrupt cities of Sodom and Gomorrah.

God’s warning to his faithful chosen people given just before such events always contain a two-fold command: (1) Flee; and (2) Don’t look back!

To “look back” is to lament leaving the dwelling place of such sin and slavery.

Many who consider themselves members of the ‘chosen’ and friends of God are in truth self-deceived, which suddenly becomes clear when they’re truly tested, and the true power of their sinful attachments to the flesh and world, to comfort and security, overwhelm them.

They allow their imagination to be enticed and eventually, perhaps very gradually, supplant the truth in their consciousness with a longing for the good old days that didn’t have so much suffering…when the MOMENT OF DECISION suddenly falls upon them that is likely to determine their eternal destiny.

They hear the warning initially and begin to follow the command contained within that warning, but are then seduced by the power of the sin and evil in which they were partaking , perhaps not even realizing how it was living outside of God’s Will, habits and ideas that had taken root in their hearts while living long in a sinful, pagan culture…., and bingo: they suddenly LOSE THEIR FOCUS and forget what is true.

They turn their attention back to what they are leaving and were commanded not to look at again by interiorly LAMENTING the loss of those comforts, pleasures, attachments, etc. (i.e., they give their attention to their memory and imagination, which also then drags their desire/heart).

For the faithful, that is apostasy, and such times test the true calibre of the faith of the People of God. We are in such a time.

A clear choice is presented to either: (1) walk away from evil and not look back, or (2) to HESITATE just long enough to fall into self-deception, where you engage psychological dynamics that blind the understanding by screening what enters consciousness and becomes a part of one’s active ‘awareness’, then embark on the road that is described by our Lord as ‘wide,’ all the while thinking you’re still on the straight and narrow!

The warning comes as a quite simple, fundamental choice: to either go with the uncertainty and suffering involved with following God’s command to flee and not look back, or to turn back.

Many people who legitimately hear the call to ‘flee’ – with strong, initial intimations and inclinations to take certain actions and directions in life and start down that hard, carry-your-cross path – just don’t persevere!

They are like the seed cast on rocky ground that looks really good for a while, but when tested by the sun, there’s no root, and it dries up and dies:

“Some fell on rocky ground, where it did not have much soil. It sprang up quickly because the soil was shallow. But when the sun rose, the seedlings were scorched, and they withered because they had no root.” (Matthew 13:5-6)],

There’s no question there’s a lot of rocky ground people are standing on today! Turning back begins with turning our attention to our own suffering as something we no longer want to embrace as we must do if we are to remain faithful. We do that, then we complain.

Remember how the Israelites rebelled against God and complained to Moses in the desert for exactly that reason, how they ‘looked back,’ and how the wrath of God was appeased by the prayers and intercessions of Moses? How the freed Hebrew slaves lamented leaving the security and comfort of their dehumanizing slavery?

“Why did you bring the Lord’s community into this wilderness, that we and our livestock should die here? Why did you bring us up out of Egypt to this terrible place?” [Numbers 20:4-5].

They were ‘looking back’ and were punished accordingly (made to live longer in the desert, and Moses himself was to die never entering the promised Holy Land!)

And for reasons not given, such was also the case with Lot’s poor wife when God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah, i.e., she looked back, the first reading in today’s liturgy of the Mass:

“The sun was just rising over the earth as Lot arrived in Zoar;
at the same time the LORD rained down sulphurous fire
upon Sodom and Gomorrah
from the LORD out of heaven.
He overthrew those cities and the whole Plain,
together with the inhabitants of the cities
and the produce of the soil.
But Lot’s wife looked back, and she was turned into a pillar of salt.” [Genesis 19:101-26].

Why a pillar of salt?

Maybe because the chosen people of God are referred to as ‘salt’ in Holy Scripture, which is something either REALLY good, or COMPLETELY useless…either alive or dead…the two outcomes for the two choices put before the people of God in the warning:

“You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot.” [Matthew 5:13].

Salt is what gives everything else ‘flavour,’ what brings out the best in other things, making what is ordinary or plain exquisite and delectable, etc.,
To be salt, in this metaphorical sense, one must always be moving in sync with the Spirit of God and His holy Will, in humble surrender and complete trust. In other words, to be living an active dynamic life in the Spirit. If it is not ‘active’ it can’t “activate” the effect of enhancing life in others, i.e. spreading the Kingdom of God, like salt activates and enhances the taste of food.

A ‘pillar of salt’ is salt that is no longer moving, no longer activating life elsewhere and in others, a dead reminder of a person who fatefully chose to empty himself or herself (in this case, ‘herself’) of the essential nature and power of God’s Spirit that made them alive in Him.

To become a ‘pillar of salt’ is to commit apostasy before God in a “yes or no” moment: to chose pagan culture over obedience to God’s Will.
It is too say “no” to the suffering that inevitably comes to a person standing against a sinful world.

It is to expel the Holy Spirit from one’s heart by turning one’s “eyes of the mind” (attention), and one’s “eyes of the heart” (desire), back onto itself and away from God, back onto the world, back onto the flesh… losing life in God’s Spirit in the process.

Joe Biden is a Catholic President doing the work of the devil: he recently [December, 2022] undid God’s immutable law that creation is founded on – male/female marriage – that was enshrined in the US Constitution and law.

What happened in December at the White House was effectively the abolition of the “Defence of Marriage Act,” that was enacted in 1996 that took away the traditional role of the states in defining marriage for federal purposes, and limited rights and benefits on the federal level to those marriages of ONE MAN AND WOMAN.
God is issuing a warning to his people now, as he did many times before, as in the days of Noah, as in the days of Lot, etc.

Jonathan David Cahn, an American Messianic Jewish rabbi, author, and novelist known for his debut novel “The Harbinger,” and more recently, the “Return of the Gods,” makes a disturbing observation about Biden’s historic announcement on December 13th he shares in a YouTube video on the subject addressed directly to Biden, challenging his claim to faith in God, worth watching.

There is apparently only one place in the Bible where God does disapprove of marriages that were deemed “legitimate” by the people, a formal legitimacy that was granted on a specific date, the 20th day of the Biblical month of kislov, which is, surprisingly, the very same date Biden did the same thing in America, December 13th! [See: https://youtu.be/yDaECVmd2gk ].
AND it is the very same warning: flee, and don’t look back!

Along with the historical accounting of events where God warned of imminent judgment against a city or nation, there are also prophesies of a final judgment coming against humans living on earth, after descending into the most abominable sins and sacrileges imaginable.

WE ARE THERE!

If you have not yet heard God’s warning to “Flee Babylon,” or if you don’t even know what that signifies, I would suggest that you consider subscribing to my website when it launches.

I’ve spent my whole life preparing for this time to be honest, and in particular, in preparing to help people with understanding HOW not to be deceived at a time when almost EVERYONE will be deceived, in and outside the church, FOR FAILURE TO UNDERSTAND THE NATURE OF THE SPIRITUAL BATTLE UNDERWAY AND THE BOUNTY AT STAKE IN THAT WAR: and that Bounty is OUR ETERNAL SOULS.
That’s why I spent years doing my dissertation research into studying the social and psychological dynamics impeding awareness of the truth and the development of moral consciousness, culminating in my dissertation: “Ethics and Awareness: a Social- Psychological Study of the Impediments to the Development of Dynamic Moral Consciousness.”

That was my new contribution to the field of Ethics that was to be published as a university textbook, but that company unfortunately went out of business before it happened, so it is a work that has never really seen the light of day until now, but now is when it is needed most.

Everybody wants to know when, and how, and why, and where….when it comes to the “end times,” and, not surprisingly, that’s always what the disciples asked Jesus about as well… but pay attention: Jesus ignores those questions.
He refused to even address them, saying at one point that it was not for them to know the times and seasons, and COMMANDED THEM TO DO JUST ONE THING:

“As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately. “Tell us,” they said, “when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?” Jesus answered: “WATCH OUT THAT NO ONE DECEIVES YOU [Matthew 24:3-4].
